International Choreography Competition in the Netherlands

You are invited to be a part of the first edition of the Netherlands Choreography Competition! We are searching for emerging choreographers worldwide, who are looking for the opportunity to present their work and compete against other young, talented creatives, to be in with the chance of winning up to 500,- euro in prize money.

To enter, choreographers must send a sample of their choreographic work, a registration form and proof of payment of the 10,- euro non-refundable application fee to info.nccompetition@gmail.com. Only COMPLETE applications will be considered. Video material and applications submitted by January 20th will receive a special discount!
All applications must be received by March 6th at the latest.

The competition is divided into Ballet and Contemporary, with separate judging for Juniors and Seniors. Please note that choreographers must be aged 18 or over. The competition will take place on May 6th 2017, at Toneelschuur Theatre in Haarlem, the Netherlands. The jury will be comprised of industry professionals, including Dance in Art faculty members.

PRIZES:

Every category will have three winners – first, second and third place.

Juniors 14 – 17 years:

1° – 250,- euro + 4000,- euro scholarship for 3 months choreographic research program at DiA + winning choreographic piece will be performed at the Toneelschuur Theatre, Haarlem June 10th ’17.

2° – 4000,- euro scholarship for 3 months choreographic research program at DiA.

3° – A masterclass with one of the judges.

 

Seniors 18+:

1° – 500,- euro + 4000,- euro scholarship for 3 months choreographic research program at DiA + winning choreographic piece will be performed at the Toneelschuur Theatre, Haarlem June 10th ’17.

2° – 4000,- euro scholarship for 3 months choreographic research program at DiA.
